Better late than never

Posted on Sunday 8 October 2006

Okay, so I’m a little later than I thought I would be on updating here. Going back to my last week of flying, and talking about Midway, as I said before, the guys and gals in control of the airspace do an awesome job. Every once in a while, however, it just doesn’t go according to plan.

A couple of days later, going in to Midway, the weather had finally cleared out, and it was a beautiful night. The skies were absolutely beautiful, so I was just enjoying the good weather. As I am approaching the airport, I hear everybody getting slowed down, vectored for the approach into the airport, with a circle to an alternate runway. What happened to the smooth flow of traffic over the last couple days? Well, as I get vectored for the farthest approach from me, I just sit there in disbelief. Over our company frequency, I hear our Lear pilot griping about doing the approach in beautiful weather. Well, at least I’m not the only one wondering what happened…

This week, I am in Chicago for a couple of days due to the Coulumbus Day holiday, so you will definitely get more installments from me.

As for other bloggers linking to me, I do appreciate it. Once I get this web site figured out, I’ll have a better front page and start linking back to y’all. If you have any questions or comments, they are appreciated.
